Urgently searching for a poem for a funeral
Hello. I am searching for a poem for a funeral. My friend, whose father has just passed away, wants to use one of his Dad's favourite poems; but we have just sketchy details. It is a (darkly humorous?) poem about a little boy who is warned about machines and jumping of machines/vehicles before they have stopped moving. This leads him to not get off an escalator and he comes to a sticky end. We are guessing the poem is early twentieth century. If anyone has any idea what this poem could be, I would be so grateful. Many thanks.
