To It.
Here is another poem :) I wrote it when I was in a job I did not like in 2007. It was my first Job after graduating, and i felt that I was a misfit in there. Anyway, the pen dropped under the desk so i bent down to grab it and I saw an Ant. I really felt relieved and happy and I smiled cuz i felt that I could identify with this small creature :)
To It.
There I was in the room
surrounded by bewildering foam.
Staring back at the peculiar faces
while analyzing the mystical cases.
The Climax of this reverie
when an ant approached me.
It's a shimmering chandelier.
The secret of life in a key.
I smiled to it and it grinned back.
Our souls merged in combination.
What an exotic fact
When one does not find consolation
from his own race.

I really like this one, and I can relate to that feeling.

I like your last thought-isn't that why we find comfort in our pets, sometimes? I also like what this poem says about you, or at least the narrator of the poem, that they were able to find some comfort somewhere. It says a lot about the resilience of the human spirit.

Nice simple poem with feeling--too many poets don't put their soul into their work like this! :thumbs_up

arabian night, I love how you explained the process of writing your poem.
A lot of times, poems come to me in the most unexpected ways, and at the most unexpected times.
I really like your poem, I look forward to reading more of your work!

Thank you dear Tournesol :) when a poem comes at the most unexpected times and ways, it shows a real talent. Also, it means you have a source of inspiration in your life so try to know what is it to expand more ;)
Would love to read some of your poems too :)
