This is meant to be a continuation of the most previous post, "Possible Study: The Possessed." As I mentioned in the previous note, although I am currently reading the fourth chapter, if there is an inclination towards a study of the novel, I will be more than willing to begin reading the book again, from the Introduction. I actually have two (2) different translations of the book, and although I first thought that the second translation would be of more assistance to me, I soon found that (actually) the first one, completed by Constance Garrnett, is more valuable than the one I just purchased.
I am, indeed, extremely interested in starting a study of this novel; this is not the first novel of Dosteovsky's I have read; in fact, I am almost sure that I have read all of his major works, the first one being The Idiot. I am quite familiar with his works and his style, but this specific novel is giving me more trouble than any of his previously read materials.
Thanks,
Mark
