Shalot's thread got me thinking. I have a habit of shortening peoples user names, I don't think I've ever asked anybody if they liked it or not I just do it. (ie Nightshade = Nightie, Dramasnot = Snot, etc...) So do you guys care? Does it bother anybody? And do you have pet names for other litnetters???

Lady Wentworth- she was LadyW until LadyW signed up, now shes LW or LadyWent.

I personally like B, but sometimes I feel like its not nice to hoard a whole letter from the alphabet. Anyways, please leave out the BM....LOL...don't ask if you don't know. Cheers, b

There are more. And then there are those that don't get shortened for whatever reason. like Virgil is just Virgil and Niamh is Niamh (although I just can't get away from the whole mental NI-MUH pronunciation I have going on - I've read how you're supposed to say it and I just can't get there) and Idril is Idril. and so on. and for whatever reason, papayahed is always papayahed instead of papaya - for some reason I can't shorten that one either. dunno why.

I usually take the most obvious shortened version if there is one.

I like Robin - short, simple, and reminiscent of heroism. :p

Actually the first time she did it, she did it Niki-- even more porn star!! Anyway I don't mind. I don't know why but other people change the spelling of it: Nikolay, Nicholai, Nicolai.
But anyhow, Nikki is fine. I don't care. I mean, if we ask the question, why would a series of letters mean anything anyway???
If anyone wants to, they can always call me Nikolai Ilyitch (my full name) Goldyakin. :) Or Nik, like most people do.

Bakiryu - Bakiryu (or sometimes I use Bakiry but then Bakiry in my tongue means a goat and as I am not too fond of goats, I prefer not to call her that)

I hope I have covered a good number, most of those at least that I often shorten and others which I would have liked twisting but due to something/another couldn't. I am afraid I have this habit of shortening or twisting user-names too, find it fun and it saves time too (by shortening), hope people don't mind that. :p
:lol: Why does it not surprise me that no one has a pet name for me! No crazy fairy or ditsy pixie or that crazy Irish woman or anything like that?:p What happens when you have a one syl-name.
