Help with Robert Frost PLease?

Hello eveyone....

I was hoping someone could help me with The Telepphone by Robert Frost.

I'm trying to figure out what physical objects in the poem represent the two ends of the telephone and why they make good symbols.

I think it's the flower and the bee but I'm not really sure...:bawling:

Any help is greatly appreciated!

I find that Frost was very unlike many of the 'modernist' poets of his time. His poetry was not overtly concerned with larger philosophical issues and visions of society. His work was essentially closer to nature and to the heart and dealt with the perceptions of ordinary people in a language and style that was down to earth and more akin to the Romantic view of life.

I like Robert Frost. Usually, it is the way his intellect and wit simultaneously shine through his verse that I appreciate most. But this
poem appeals to me differently. I like its simplicity (and that of its characters) and the 'telephone' is just such a sweet notion.

I'm unsure, however, what you want to know - if you have identified the symbols, do you want to know why they are effective?

I'm sorry I should have made that more clear....I'm not sure if the bee and the flower are the symbols (and if they are not, I am at a total loss for what they are!) and was wondering if someone new if this was correct or not. I was also wondering, if these are the symbols, why they make good ones. I cant seem to figure this out for the life of me.....
