In reading Yeats I've come across a couple of poems referring to Michael Robartes and i get the distinct feeling that I'd understand the poem better if I knew who he is. Anybody know? Thanks.

There's a poetry book which is named "Michael Robartes and the Dancer" (1921). So maybe those poems are from that book. I don't really know if that man existed.Quote:
