I have a copy of the first volume of the collected works of Agatha christie as Mary Westmacott I dont think Ive finished any of the stories in it properly but as I rember they were all incredibly depressing... like the husband who realises that he doesnt love his wife and never will but he has to keep it a secret from her or was it the other way round?... I might dig those out tonight when I get home.
It IS depressing because she wrote that one around the time her husband started falling out of love with her and into love with someone else...while they were still married.
