again, with the importance of being earnest
this play is making me nuts, i cant seem to let it go, even though our class is long finished and moved on to two more plays since....
On the home page of The Lit. Network, when i first searched here, there were some references to a fourth act to this play in its orignal form. i have since seen some vague references to this as well on other sites in the course of my research.
however, i would really like to know more about the authenticity of this "missing act" and so on. i am curious because i use the norton anthologies and they are fairly reliable, yet they mention absolutely nothing about a fourth act that has been omitted from publication.
if there is anyone out there that has some more information on this missing link...i would be hugely grateful.
many thanks.
