Book Club Procedures
How about a short story? I've got a lot on my plate these days.
Yes, a short story or a couple of short stories sounds good to me too. Very busy lately but I would like to participate in the book club.
Wanted to read The Legend of Sleepy Hollow, but truth be told just not enough time.

For the Book Club readings we usually pick up novels/books. However, last year Night very kindly arranged a short story reading on Halloween night (on MSN) and I am hoping that this year we can do something similar. So maybe you can nominate these short stories then.
I would like to point out that Book Club readings are not compulsory for anyone. The themed readings are simply a way of adding variety to our usual reading selection and, hopefully, get those members who have different interests involved as well.
I would like to nominate Frankenstein by Mary Shelley (which is a relatively short book).

We are reading the abridged version in school. It's a bit boring, or maybe because I am reading it abridged, that's why I am not finding it pleasant. (Usually, it's the unabridged versions, which I like.)Quote:

I have only read Dracula from above list and wouldn't mind reading any of the others, truth be told.
Dracula was so different from what I had expected; a very touching and 'humane' story...
