Hey im doing a paper on nathaniel hawthorne and i need to know what religion he was. if anybody knows please let me know asap thanks!

hawthorne didn't subscribe to any religion. he grew up in a puritan family, but he rejected puritanism because of the guilt he felt about his family's involvement in the salem witch trials.
