Between all of Scott's writings (poems and all included), which is the best? I've only read Ivanhoe so far, so I can't judge.

Rob Roy is excellent. Scott's is a far better story than the legend used in the film with liam neeson
Waverley is my favorite. It focuses mainly on Edward Waverley, and is more of a bildungsroman than many of Scott's other works. It just seems far more of a personal story.
