Can't believe that the first sight of this site helped me immediately in another group discussion. Everything on the first page. I just said the same thing and was considered an impatient undergrad. Well I am impatient. I think slow-reading of THE PRINCE should include modern events. It's like an index to politics, the dictatorship POV. There is a "dictatorship" psychology even here in the USA. The Presidency has to be bought. People with wealth aren't necessarily democratic. Oh well, here we go:) And thanks for this site.

Would you be suggesting, then, that George W. Bush could understand THE PRINCE? ;) This might be just a tad generous...though I've no doubt a few of his handlers have....
