daffadowndilly
My Thursday at Two poem for 1/15/2026. Note: this is an Acrostic Golden shovel form :)
"moonlight disappears down the hills mountains vanish into fog and I vanish into poetry." - Sanober Khan
daffadowndillies in the moonlight
appear ghostlike as reality disappears
fey like in its own way - then down
fastidiously I marvel whilst wandering the
accessible færie paths cleaving hills
delving into the secret haunts of mountains
onwards until all traces of wonder vanish
when a shifting wind transforms all into
new beginnings which belies the fog
descending into a dense mist - and
isolation overcomes my sensibilities - I
lament that I might henceforth vanish
lost in a spell of enchantment into
yielding to exist in another's poetry

Enjoyed your poem, tailor. Would perhap5change the pea soup for something ,ess down to earth to combine it with the other delkcate nature images.

Yes, you're right... there are a few other niggles to consider. Thanx :)

love the end: , the poem suggests a surrender—vanishing from the physical world and existing instead as something intangible, absorbed into poetry itself.

Thank you :)

Stately, hello, I love your poem’s mist—like density and its suggestive, irrevocable inner march of change…
Agree with Danik.
Best to you always
