Any suggestions for what to watch?

A lot of older films are available free online, so getting a copy shouldn't really limit our options.

Since we all seem to be Audrey fans, how about something of hers?

I'll go with what everyone else wants - mainly because my brain is disengaged at the moment.

I'm happy with anything. This is not an Audrey movie, but I've been meaning to re-watch "Bringing Up Baby" for a long time, one of the funniest movies ever!

Also, even though these guys aren't 'classic' film directors, I'd love to discuss and see anything by Stanley Kubrick or John Cassavetes.

Let's see, here are my suggestions:
    Vertrgo
    Rear Window
    Notorious
    Citizen Kane
    Touch of Evil
    Chimes at Midnight
    Mean Streets
    Taxi Driver
    Raging Bull
    Modern Times
    Sunrise
    Night of the Hunter
    City Lights
    A Women Under the Influence
    Breatheless
    Stroszek

(By the way, thank you for inviting me, it is quite an honor )

    The best Audrey Hepburn:

    Breakfast At Tiffanys
    Charade
    Sabrina

    or

WE COULD ALL JUST WATCH CASABLANCA!

    Other suggestions:

Holiday - Directed by the legendary George Cukor, starring
    Katharine Hepburn and Cary Grant
The Philadelphia Story - Another Cukor masterpiece, starring Cary Grant, James Stewart, Katharine Hepburn. (Great laughs!)
His Girl Friday - Directed by Howard Hawks, Starring Cary Grant and Rosalind Russel (The funniest of the bunch!)
Detective Story - William Wyler's (directed Ben-Hur, Roman Holiday, and ever other Oscar award winning movie under the sun, it seems) greatest film noir.

Hey this sounds like a good idea. Love Cary Grant, James Stewart, Katharine Hepburn, so anything along those lines for me.

CC> Do you know any reliable websites on which we can watch the movies? Or do you mean youtube?

How about "North by Northwest" for Friday?

Also, we need to decide on time... Would 12:30 am (24/10/09) suit everyone? It would be 6.30 or 7.30 pm (23/10/09) for most of our American friends.

North By North West is good and the time is ok for me. I could do with the web site address too. In fact, a web site for free old movies would be awesome for this and future viewings
