Janine, where are you!??!? I have to dig up some pics for in here. We need to be able to look at the god whenever we enter this group.

Lady Wentworth, Wow, I seem to have the honor of the first post. I love how you wrote this up and I get the connection (well, you did clue me on it) - Ken's early film "Peter's Friends"...I still laugh so hard at some of the scenes in that movie. I love it, among all the other great works of his I have enjoyed. Hey, even Hugh Laurie was in that one, much younger then than now in "House" which I love. I am on a streak this week of watching all KB's films (again!) - at least the ones I own. I can't wait to see his newest roles - the one in Valkyrie and Wallander. I know that we will talk more about those here...so....let the fun begin!....and thanks so much for starting this group.

I am here! I thought I would be the first poster, but my hesitation set me back a little and I wrote more than you... Yes, yes, we need photos! I have a ton of them and even copied some new ones today. I have so much to add to this group because I am totally enamoured with the actor and have been collecting his stuff now for years; but you actually have his autograph, for that I am jealous! haha....

Well, yeah, I noticed your post right after I posted mine. So I decided to wait and see if you would notice mine. I didn't want to cross paths again.

There are so many things that I truly enjoy in life, and I was interested in starting a group on some of them, but I was never sure if anyone would join. Luckily there are others out there who are as crazy as I am about this particular person. So now we all have a place to worship him.

I need to watch "Peter's Friends" again. I haven't seen that in so long. In fact, it has been awhile since I have seen so many of his films. That is why I plan to have a marathon one of these weekends. I really do need my Kenneth fix. It is actually getting painful now.

Yes, I do have his autograph. I would show it off, but it reveals my name. Heaven knows I cannot allow anyone in on my secret identity.

Well, I still might post some pics tonight. **I said I wouldn't go out tomorrow, but there is someting specific that I would like to see if I could find - I hate the crowds the day after Thanksgiving** I have to make a list of a couple of the places that I want to go to tomorrow. So I will probably go do that now. Then I will be back on here tonight, in a little while, to take care of the pictures.

From humble beginnings (Ken is on right)...

    To greatness....

(I sort of have an autograph...haha)

or anything in-between...(hummm, I especially like this one)...

Lady Wentworth, you returned. Don't think we are alone in our adoration. I was on Youtube and connected with quite a few avid Ken fans. They are out there. I am even hoping a few join up here. Hope you like the pictures I posted above...I had to organise my Ken shots into a folder tonight - that is where I have been and I know I broke some of my links on this site so I will have to replace those now. Oh, well, onward to progress. In the kid photo Ken is on the right and his older brother is on the left. I have a really nice photo in my files of the two of them a few years back. I will have to hunt for it; it is very sweet.

There is one you left out above - 'a prince'...remember the line from Hamlet...

"Now cracks a noble heart. - Good-night, sweet prince,
And flights of angels sing thee to thy rest!"

Ken would never forgive you, that is his favorite role..

Well, I just added a bunch of photos. The one of Ken and his brother, I have never seen that one before. It is so cute. Oh, I love that last one of him. He is fantastic in that photo!!

Yeah, I know. I thought about using "prince" (instead of "king", actually), but then I just liked the way it sounded using "king". I will have to think of a way to work it in there. I have my touch of OCD and I would need that list to be an even number. If "prince" were added, it would no longer be even.

Nice photos... I have most of those...is that third one 'Public Enemy' on stage or 'Another Country' or 'Maurice'?..mind you...just guessing...I like the one with the knife - he sure has those bedroom eyes, doesn't he. Love them all! I will post some soon, too...above...

Glad you liked the photos I posted. I think he looks so sexy in that last one. I love that kid photo, adorable even then...the later one of his brother and he is so nice too, I must find it....buried somewhere in my file..

Hummm...lets see just a suggestion and thinking outloud...a prince, a king, a villain, a priest, a wizard, an explorer, a Nazi, a president... how about 8....to make it even?...but you may see that as problematic, too - because you have to use 'an' with 'explorer'. Well, 'villain' is not a profession, so maybe leave that out and add prince; forget about explorer, even though Shackleton is one of my favorite roles of his...just a suggestion.

I was going to use "explorer", too, actually, but I think I exchanged that one for "wizard". I am pretty sure that was the one that I switched it with. I wasn't looking at this as professions. Just as characters that he has played. I can add those two in there, and in those spots, even. Would that make you happy??

I look forward to seeing what other photos you will post. I will layoff until I see what you add on.

Oh, and that photo is from "Another Country". See Rupert Everett in there, too? Have you seen the film of that yet? Colin Firth is the role that Branagh played on stage.

Ya, happy now that 'prince' is in there. Thanks so much for changing it. I always see Ken as 'my prince'. I love that line about the angels from Hamlet. Afterall, can't leave out Hamlet, Ken's favorite role; that is his baby...thanks again for altering it; I think it sounds good and is inviting, too. Sorry I was being so picky, Hamlet and Shackleton are two of my favorite roles of Ken's; to me he became Ernest Shackleton; The Prince of Denmark, too. He's so mulitalented and has done so much and he is brillant to boot! Now we can rave on...and on...and on....

I was more inclined to think it was "Another Country" and no, (sobbing) have never seen it....Is it hard to find on DVD? Maybe I can see some scenes on Youtube. Now I have to go on a quest to find it. Wow, Rupert Everett is certainly young in that photo; well so is Ken...he looks like a teenager, doesn't he? This reminds me, have you ever seen "The Billy Plays"? I saw some excerpts on Youtube and wish I could buy it.

Lady Wentworth, since you posted that early one, I thought I would post these links to Ken's beginnings; here are some links to parts of the espisodes. Wish I could find this to buy. He really has his natural Irish accent in these plays, 'The Billy Plays'. He was very young in these, think they're his first roles on TV; they aired on BBC, I believe. He's a mere baby......and so cute I think...his natural gift and potenial for humor and depth is there, makes it interesting to watch.

Now to post above I have to have those in my album, right? I ran out of room. I will probably post right in the text like we do in the Artists group, if that is ok with you. I have to upload more photos (Photobucket) tomorrow, before I can post them, but for now here are some links to Branagh videos on Youtube:

Did you see Sleuth yet; just curious to know if it was any good...

I love Ken in interviews; I will have to dig up some earlier ones. I know he did some great ones with Charlie Rose.
