The cons of camping

Rate this Entry
Oh, so I just came back from a camping trip. It was...okay. The first two days were great. We camped next to a lake. I got my knees burnt. Not anything else. .....Just my knees. How does that happen? They are lobster red and HURT! Anyways, then the rains came. It rained and rained and rained. It's really not fun sleeping in a damp sleeping bag, and having lakes of water in your tent. Not especially enjoyable.

So, after a while, my parents and I decided it was time to leave. It just wasn't worth it. Here's to hoping my next camping trip will be decent. Maybe I should camp in the Mojave desert

try the desert in february or march bib, its the best for camping. I've camped in 42 different states and 4 countries, (Costa Rica, Mexico, Canada, and New Zealand). Well at least you have all of your fingers and toes, lol

Sorry your camping trip was basically washed out. As for the knees being sunburnt, hmmmm, I'll admit that that is unusual. But at least you don't have poison ivy, you weren't skunked, and the mosquitoes didn't eat you alive ....

Never had any problems with skunks, luckily. I didn't have to worry about bugs because it rained so much that I think they were all washed away.
