My Stupid Teachers

Rate this Entry
Alright, I go to a Catholic school, so teachers are not paid too much. However, in my opinion, that does not give teachers the right to be stupid. Let me explain...

I have a religion class with this ridiculously huge lady as a teacher (and I mean she looks like an enlarged "Flubber"). She assigns us, everyday, to read a section of our textbook and to answer questions about the book. The questions are only packets that are probably scanned on from the pages of the book, and she makes us fill in the blank. How stupid is that?!?!?! And, if that isn't enough, for notes, she takes a scantron, scans a book page onto that, and tells us to write down what she has up there (which is what we all did the prior night) and will grade us on our notes for: clarity, content (everything has to be in there, and there can be no doodles on the pages.

Another few things this teacher teaches us:

-whales DON'T exist (from Jonah and the Big Fish Old Testament story

-we breathe through our LEGS!!!

-She "borrowed her book out to someone, and can't find it.

Isn't she stupid? Just had to blow of some steam

Hi, pbmn. I want to learn a little more about you so I checked out your blog. I rarely read blogs because I find that most of them are a waste of time. You have to check out 50 to find 3 worth examining more closely.

But based on your writing ability and your age, I was curious about your background, so I took the liberty of coming here.

It sounds like your religion teacher is preparing you well for the real world, where you'll find that lots of people are less than what they should be.

As disappointing as that might be, it's best to start getting used to the fact.

If she is preparing us for the real world, it is not purposefully. I have had bad teachers before, and I have been able to cope with all of them. But this one... she is different. She only knows how to teach one way, and that is through our textbook (not even the Bible, unless the book tells her to use it.) If a kid asks her a question/ makes a statement that is completely true, she will beat around the bush a little until she can back to her "safe zone" of the textbook.
