Has no one noticed the title of my blog?!

So the plane is tomorrow. Busy, busy, busy. Last minute visiting.

I kind of feel bad about not blogging very often here. But it's just that the ever present stifling heat is kind of a put off. And then the laptop is always losing connection, or someone is using it. I've got plenty of excuses.

OOOOOOH, I almost forgot. Guess who has contact lenses?! MOI! I tried them on yesterday and they are cool! But I only got like 50 pairs to wear when I'm going out. It's kind of funny, but I am perfectly okay with that. I've been wearing my glasses for almost forever and not having them is going to take some getting used to. I mean, I look soooo different. I'll definitely be posting some pictures.

And I got an eyebrow job ..... Gee, that sounds weird. We went to a salon and got our eyebrows plucked. Painful, yes.

I've always had Groucho Marxish eyebrows, but I think the lady might have gone too far on me. It's weird, like one moment you like then and the next you don't. My mom thinks I look too old. If that's true, I'm hoping I could pass for 21.

    Plucked?? Ouch. Waxing might be less painful!! The first time I had it done I almost jumped out of the chair - it was painful and startling at the same time. I've had all different kinds of different results. I had one wax job that left me looking permanently surprised until they grew back in. Another time, the lady waxed my eyebrows into two little pointy arches over my eyes. Another time, someone waxed the sides off....I finally learned to say, "Just clean them up - I don't want a lot taken off and I want a very natural appearance." That seems to work. However, I've heard that too much waxing and plucking of the eyebrows causes the hair to thin over time. Apparently this happened to my friend's mother who drew her eyebrows on with a pencil everyday. So, I don't get it done too often, just in case.

    So far I've had pretty ok waxings but liike shalot I just tell them to clean it up. If I didn't I'm pretty sure my eyebrows would reach my hairline and my forhead would dissappear.

    A salon? Wow, I didn't know salons did such things. I always pluck them at home myself, it's quite painless really specially if you're listening to music. But mine are completely weird and can't conform to a shape. Did you get the really thin weird-looking eyebrows or is it just normal? My mum got hers tattooed! (in purple!)

    I’m a plucker. My sister once got hers waxed and ended up with these short fat little things that looked like Hitler’s mustache but brownish. It was so bad and there was no fixing it. I can’t bring myself to do it now. Actually, everyone in the world comes to my house and I pluck the universe’s eyebrows. Oprah did a show on how to do everything better about nine years ago and that was one thing they showed how to do better. I’m glad I saw that one. I tried to Google it, but it didn’t work.

    ha, i still haven't gotten mine done. i'm scared to, i don't like self inflected pain. (except when i mad at myself then i either bite myself or dig my nails deep into my skin.) i don't plan on waxing, anything-ever.
