  1. Saw your name on the opening forum page. Just saying "Hi!" Still missing your cogent and trenchant comments.

Sorry this is so "public." Apparently your mailbox runneth over.

  2. Are you back? Can't tell you how much we've missed you! Hope you decide to stay
    a little longer this time.

    Auntie
  3. Okay, Bro, I got ya.
  4. Do what I do? Sit back and leave them to it. It is depressing that there are some who only seek unconditional flattery. But there are other more devious individuals who do their best to undermine any constructive feedback given by posting snide follow-ups along the lines of "don't listen to anyone - this is the best stuff I have ever read in my life". It doesn't help anyone. I think this forum goes through cycles and at the moment we're definitely at low tide.
  5. Is it just me or does it seem as if some of our new posters are getting a bit defensive over the comments their postings are receiving? Gee, they are asking for "feedback" but by that they must mean unconditional encouragement. Then, some wonder why they don't get loads of replies. What are we to do?
  6. That's very complimentary of you - am I to assume you have yet to read my 'humorous' piece on the General Writing forum? If not - trust me, it was tongue in cheek. :-)
  7. Just another quick reminder that you, Sir, are the finest critic ever to grace the LitNut screen!
  8. Good to hear from you - great that you can still at least peek over the garden hedge and keep an eye on the Lit-Net riff raff!
    Best wishes.
  9. Just stopping by to say "Hello." I've been AWOL because my PC, "Pong 2.0," has gone to the great Server in the Sky. Don't know the cause of its demise: either it was felled by a fatal virus or simply old age. I'm using a borrowed computer and will check in the LitNet from time to time.
