Whither goest thou?
Happy Holidays to you and yours Salvatore May the New Year bring some of what we want and little of what we deserve
Hello hack. I have added again to the Haiku. Sorry its been such along time since my last addition. Hope you got my other reply concerning said coincidence. If you haven't rec'd it it is on my user page. Still enjoying your Haikus. Whisper master, low great!!!
Another coincidence, apart from our birthday, is that my father-in-law of nearly 40 years is named Salvatore. He is called Sal, to distinguish him from his brother, also Salvatore, who was called Sam. I had a friend of many years whose name was Al Paradiso, may he rest in peace. He was a cabdriver in Las Vegas, looking back, I realize that he too was a swinger of birches.
Where have you been my friend, I have missed you in the haiku join in.
Happy B day tomorrow if I don't talk to you then. Here's a birthday tanka for you: go headlong in love the waters deep and cool there leave your high stone perch wonder of unfettered fall too tightly held hearts release
In 1968 I discovered Thomas Wolfe when I read "Look Homeward Angel". I became a lifelong reader then, brought to tears by the amazing power of his prose. If I need to cry, and can not manage it, the passage there describing the death of his brother in the flu pandemic of 1918 works every time.
