Yes, the intellectual emphasis that is put on reading is quite remarkable, as is the ego that some people father. I suppose the mystery lies in the uncertainty of one's self.
What I don't understand is how, after reading two or three 'serious high brow novels', someone can form such a high opinion of his/herself.
I suppose that discussion should have been moved to the 'Serious Discussions Forum'. I just can't understand such a hatred for humanity, enough so to label people as trash. Anyway thanks for the input.
