I just wanted to say a big "congratulations" after seeing the AMAZING performance of Oksana and Maxim in the World Figure Skating Championship!!! They were so beautiful, they brought tears to my eyes. They should definitely win the gold medal, as they did, and they should earn much higher marks. Anyway, we all know how judges work, don't we? Once again, the Russian figure skating ruled the ice!!!
Yes, I know exactly how you feel. I hear many, many foreign people getting ecstatic about the Parthenon, or the islands, and I think "okay, they're pretty but why the fuss?". You see, I see the Parthenon every day, from my balcony, from the railway station, etc. and it has become an everyday sight for me, just what you describe.
I'am glad to hear, that for foreigners my city is interesting to see)) You see, I live in Moscow all my life and not often pay great attention to such places... For example, I go by metro every day and already got accustomed to its beauty. Unfortunately, I have never visited Athens and Greece at all... It will be very interesting to visit your country, I have heard about it a lot)
It was back in 2005, I think. I visited Moscow to see my favourite basketball team- Panathinaikos- it was the Final4 days, back then, and I had the pleasure to see Kremlin (hope I spelled it right), the Metro was fantastic, such great artwork!!! I have lots of photos taken in front of the Moskva river (I think I spelled that right!), but three places I treasure the most: The Cathedral of Christ, the Pushkin Museum, and most of all the Bolshoi Theatre!!!! It was fortunate that I stayed in Moscow for five days, and I had the opportunity to see all those wonderful places!!!! Unfortunately, I didn't have the chance to see a performance in the Bolshoi Theatre, but luckily enough, they come here, in Athens, often. A friend of mine spent 5 years in Moscow and he loved it!

Not at all! I've been to your beautiful city once, soem years ago!! I had some of the greatest time in my life!
