Sorry it took me so long to respond... I haven't had time to come here in a while No, I don't know German, but I am a fan of some bands, anyway. I will listen to the song and get back to you.. I like the lyrics, they are really pretty. Thanks, Sapphire!
Rammstein, now there is a name Yes, I know them (never been to a concert though). I like them, especially the songs "Sonne" and "Amerika". I think I like Wolfstein better though - a bit more ... I don't know, less dark in music itself I guess ... Hard to explain. One song I really, really like is "die Flut" by Joachim Witt and Peter Heppner. Mr. Witt had quite a big influence on Rammstein. I do not know whether you understand German, but "die Flut" is about how you've gotta live in the world there is. Or well, not really ... you know what, here is the translation In German the words fit better, but it will get the message across (I tried to put it in a spoiler, but it did not work - I'll send a PM ) Take care, Sapphire
I truly am happy you like the poem... I do know of a German band that I like a lot, Rammstein, ever heard of them?
Heya I just read your answer on the song I posted with your poem and thought I would give you some additional information. First off, it is not that strange that you do not know the group as they're from Germany. None of my friends know them, though the song "Supergirl" has been played here quite a bit. The song itself is a cover, but I do not know who the original is by I checked it and turns out it is by Johnny Wakelin (never heard of him). It's quite a different song though - I like Reamonn's version better. This is what the singer (Rea) says about it: Place of no return (in Zaire). I do not know whether Phillip Mevio is from Zaire, it only says he's from Africa. I hope you keep on writing wonderful poems like this. I wish you creativity and inspiration Take care, Sapphire
