Still working too much, I'm afraid, but I managed to get time for a stroll in a nature reserve a couple of miles from home together with my daughter: That was time well spent. I needed to relax a bit and I got some nice pictures. Spring is really in full swing now, and the place was full of spring flowers. /Claes
Claes, nice to hear from you again! I am okay, but spring is starting to roll in here, and it makes me soo tired of this town. I really get restless when the weather starts changing, but I have no vacation days yet to take a trip. However, I am going camping this Friday, but it's someplace close, and it's warm enough not to have to use a tent, so that should be nice. What about you, how have you been?
Hullo, I added a couple of new pictures to the Nature lovers group, just to get it going again. So how are you these days? Still working too hard? /Claes
I agree that I'd much rather break my bike than my bones. Truth be told though, I usually do prang a couple of times every winter, but I have never really gotten hurt in the process. Most of the times I have gone down, I've been caught by ice hidden under the snow and when that happens you are better off taking the plunge on purpose than trying to hang on and go down (harder) anyway. As for the bike itself, it is the sturdiest MTB I could get. It had to be, as I still bend it every now and then. /Claes
Oh wow, if i tried to ride my bike like that the only things I would be breaking is my bones! So, considering the alternative, breaking parts on a bike is not so bad...
As a matter of fact, I ride that bike all year round, even in -20C or worse (partly in order to stay in some resemblance of shape). I go about 20km a day to and from work, and it is mostly cross country, so I can avoid heavy traffic: This punishes my bike a bit, and I have to admit that I keep breaking things. I think the frame is the only original part left by now. I have bent everything else /Claes
That's too bad about your bike, but i'm glad it's fixed now. Here's wishing you a temperate spring time in which to ride it!
Working too much: Likewise. Praying for winter to end: Likewise. I also had to fix a new rear wheel for my bike. The bearings failed big time and destroyed the hub beyond repair... Back in the saddle now, though. /Claes
I haven't been doing a whole lot, I've been working too much, praying for an end for winter...
Hello there, Nice of you to drop in. So what have you been up to lately? /Claes
