alakungfu, I hope everything is OK. Did you know you had won the Subject Poetry Contest? Congratulations, your poem was marvelous!

I confess that I do have an interest in art that my daughters have inherited. I chose the Whistler painting because it seems to channel Alice in Wonderland for me. Whistler's done some amazing work if you want to look it up.
Hi qumissung. I'm not sure of the name of the painting, but the artist is none other than Whistler.
Thanks, qimissung.
Thank you for your poem, too. The dramatic monologue is my nemesis. This time I will defeat it, however, and keep my voice (in the poem) intact. I'll do my best, qimissung.
After high school I travelled and I couldn't drag a lot of books with me. And if you're a writer, you don't really get back into it casually, you have to jump in again. I had a reason to do that when I wanted to show my daughters that writing is a worthwhile occupation if they choose it but it's their choice what they decide to do.
I owe a lot to my girls. If it weren't for them getting interesting in writing, I might never have started again.
Thanks quimissung. My daughters are just at the age when I'm starting to get sentimenta about how they've grown. They're 12 and 14. That poem is lovely, too.
Thanks for the help, qimissung. I even put the picture in my album in my profile and I can't transfer it from there And thanks for the compliment.
