ah, so not quite as simple as it would seem...
well... one of them doesn't seem to have a clear idea of what he wants. He's been studying German on his own and just wants to talk. I asked him what kind of topics he's interested in but he didn't answer. I find it hard enough to do random small talk with native speakers. The other one wants help for her A-Levels and wants to improve her writing, so I'll have to find the criteria for A-Level grades.
One is helping run a chess tournament, the other is roofing, which I'll start on Monday. It's not long-term but it's still something. Another is hauling hay..... I'm not in shape for that so we'll see how it works out. That sounds like it'll be pretty easy, tutoring them in German.
Cool. What kind of jobs? I've also found two people who want private tutoring in German, so I guess I'll be quite busy once term has started. Looking forward to having something to do, though
Yes, a couple of things. And a couple more things in the near future, hopefully.
term only starts on 2nd September here. We'll have a training day for all staff on 2nd September and hopefully they'll tell me what exactly I'll be doing as a teaching assistant. Have you found a new job?
My father's doing well, and my mother as well as she ever is. My brother is also basically off the radar, and my step-family seems to be doing wonderful (they live in Canada). Have you just started a school year teaching?
Hehe, the husband is fine. My parents and brother still live in Germany and my parents are alright, but my brother's been off the radar for quite a while now. And yours?
I'm well thanks. How is your family?
I'm alright and you?
