Quasi... I quite like the Metamorphoses myself... and escaped your enforced reading experience. It is a huge influence on the visual arts... perhaps second only to the Bible. But I threw my vote toward the Tang Poets and Holderlin... hopefully one of those two will take the lead.

Merry Christmas, Quasi. Hopefully the upcoming year will show a blossoming of interest in poetry. Talking with Petrarch and Virgil we are bandying about the idea of a Chaucer discussion in the coming year. Not certain if you are up on discussing the moldy-oldies as well as the contemporaries... but it sounds fun to me: typing in Middle English.
