'Journey' is my favorite book too...I love Celine's writing style, and bitterness, although his politics can be a bit much to stomach sometimes. So far 'North' is really good, but I'd recomend reading 'Death on the Installment Plan' and 'Castle to Castle' first.

I saw that you're planning to read North by Celine.Journey to the End of Night is my favourite book,and Celine has now become my favourite author(I just discovered him over the summer) but sadly I've only read this one book of him.so..just wanted to say that I will be looking forward to read your opinion on it,and if it is anything like Journey. take care!
