have been thinking of keeping chickens here for a while (chooks?). Have ended up instead with a brain damaged hamster who ran in circles for a year and died exhausted last week and two female rabbits who are rampant lesbians and have had to be parted. Think I will pass on your sarnies, you have any home made cake??
I have never thought of white bread soldiers. but if you're in oz, you will have to eat fried egg, mushroom and vegemite sangers. Handyman came over yesterday and put in the posts for my chook pen. hopefully by next week I can walk round my yard without slipping on muddy crap....
It sounds comfy. next time I am passing by I will call in for a cup of tea and one of your hens eggs boiled. with soldiers. white bread. not toast. bread. toast doesnt absorb the yolk. and some biscuits for the tea. i like to dunk. rich tea biscuits if you can get them there. and I will sit on the creaky chair and move around making it creak while you talk and i dunk biscuits. and then one will break off and fall in my tea ruining it. will be fun
so you should be. I don't know why we nicknamed the place ramshackle. probably because the house was built in the 60's with single brick and fibro walls. Its like a well worn pair of slippers really....
