  1. Hello , Hello , sweet "lady double you". It seems I owe you a reply to the previous message (sorry if I made you wait... did you miss me? ... I missed you )

Just hold tight a little... I left the milk on the hotplate...() I'm right back
  2. Heyy stranger

    How's it going?

  3. Yes, you are quite clear, sir!

Wow, so you are quite the television/film watcher I take it?
I have alot of favourite films really.
    In no particular order...

    Amelie
    Atonement
    Breakfast at Tiffany's
    Bridget Jones 1 & 2
    Forrest Gump
    Indiana Jones: Temple of Doom
    Kill Bill 1&2
    Lars and the Real Girl
    Lord of the Rings Trilogy
    Moulin Rouge
    Pulp Fiction
    Saw 2
    Scary Movie 1
    Some Like it Hot
Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith
    Titanic
    Twilight
    The Mummy
    The Wedding Singer

I recently saw The Hangover at the cinema; it's one of the funniest films I've seen in a long while.
    What TV do you watch?
    Who are your favourite actors/actresses?
  4. Oh sure! You send me your ghosts any time. I'll deal with them for you, that's what friends are for...

Okay I'll try something else to see if I can convince you. I'M AN EXPERT ON FACES.
You have a cute Brit-lady face!! That's it, as you read, I can tell a Brit-lady face when I see it. Now let me explain myself. There's something peculiar in every type of lady face according to the place of the world where the lady was born... namely her race's genetics, so to speak. Thus we have the Brit-lady face, the American-lady face, the Russian-lady face, and so on... being the Brit-lady face one of the most delicately designed, so... if you have a Brit-lady-face compliant face, then you are okay... AND YOU HAVE IT.
Now me wonders... AM I BEING CLEAR ENOUGH?
Now, since I am a royal expert, you should take my word as is... without further arguments, and let that be final. Period.

Hmm... my films they are so many because I have quite many in every genre. I will fire away a mild list classified by genre.
Action/Thrillers: The Punisher, Daredevil, Elektra, The Missing (should go under western too), 88 minutes, Panic Room, Flight Plan, Crying Freeman, The Brotherhood of the Wolf (though this one's a type of epic too)
Drama: Titanic (oh, how much I wept when DiCaprio sinks down the sea in hypothermia )
Romantic comedy: 13 going on 30
Sci Fi: Terminator (I prefer the second so far, but I like the others too), Independence Day, The War of the Worlds, Soldier, Serenity, Transformers, Event Horizon (that's Horror too)
Horror: Frankenstein (the version starring Kenneth Branagh) The Ring, The Hills Have Eyes (the remake, I never saw the original 70s release)
Epic/war: The Last of the Mohicans, King Arthur, The Kingdom of Heaven, Gladiator, Braveheart, The Man in the Iron Mask, The Musketeer, The Lord of the Rings, The Ring of the Nibelungs, The Chronicles of Narnya, Flyboys, The Red Baron, Pearl Harbor.
Western: Tombstone, Dances with Wolves, Appaloosa, 3:10 to Yuma, Wyatt Earp, Young Guns I and II, Far and Away, Cold Mountain.
Eastern/Martial Arts: The Curse of the Golden Flower, Hero, Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon, House of the Flying Daggers.

And many tons more, as I said it's just a mild list. And if we talk about TV shows I would have to give a list too and it would be long because there are some shows I can't imagine myself without. You see, I don't use the entertainment industry merely for entertainment purposes. I use it as an educational source too, to educate myself in some aspect.

Do we go on a TV talk? Maybe an exchange of opinions about actors/actresses? I like talking about these subjects... please, please, let's talk some more!
  5. Hahaha...
Looks like you've got my ghost queries all figured out; I'll know who to turn to in future.

Why thank you, I enjoyed it very much.

Haha, it seems we are both guilty for lack of posting... ah well. Forum rebels we shall be then.

Well, I'm glad you think so, but we shall have to agree to disagree on this point.

Hm, I've decided to fire a random question your way spontaneously (although it's now slightly less spontaneous now I've told you): What are your favourite films?
  6. Listen, now I have it all figured out; this is what happened: The old lady died in the care centre, but didn't realize because you don't believe you're dead immediately after you die, it's like you need to take your time to assume it . Soon after she moved back to the house to see how everything was going on there. When she noticed that none of you was paying attention to her, she realized she had become a... ghost.
She didn't say "Boo!" because she couldn't talk any more, so...
    What do we do
    when we cannot say Boo!?

So she thought to herself "I can't really scare anyone any more... I can't talk... I'd better die!!"
And that's how she vanished. See? I have a rational explanation.

Jeez, I wouldn't like a Frankenstein!! I wouldn't like all those nuts, bolts and stitches where there should be something else!! Besides I doubt a Frankenstein's loveliness; I need to be cuddled

Aw, you are sensitive! The mean army would make you weep!!
Now seriously, I'm too sensitive for the army too, and all that humiliation would really piss me off.

I'm glad you liked the post. It's not the big thing nor I pretend to call it a poem, but it was intended with all due fondness, dedicated to you (I'm talking about that one on the photo album thread)

I'm not posting much either, though I'm still new. I spend most of my time here answering visitor messages, sending my own ones and in general, I visit the forum more like to talk with someone, rather than to make a post on a specific matter, which is something I really like, communicating I mean, though I should post more too. Shame on me

I must protest; yes you're photogenic! You have a cutie face, like a cutie doll. (this sounds like baby talk when spoken aloud )

  7. I'm not sure who has lived here... I think an old lady did live here before us; I think she moved into a care centre though.
She was just so still... but not like frozen in position, there was some movement as though it was alive. She just stared at me. Haha, come to think of it, that was pretty freaky.

Aw no... don't put yourself down by assuming you'd "probably be rejected"; I'm sure that's not the case.
Well, I certainly wish you the best of luck in finding that special lady.
Alternatively, maybe building your own would be quite beneficial? Provided you don't do a Frankenstein... that would be rather bad.

Hahaha, I couldn't cope in the army... if someone shouted at me really loud in my face I might burst into tears. I hate being shouted at/ told off.

I really enjoyed your post, it was cleverly random.

I really need to post more... but I much prefer reading other peoples and looking at different perspectives. It's rare I'll interject.
Aah, I'm really not very photogenic hahaha those photos aren't the best really.
  8. Did the frail old lady smile, giggle, nod, or make whatever gesture with her face? Or she was totally still, even in her face? Because if she didn't say "BOO!" (or anything alike) then she meant no harm against you. Probably she was the spirit of a person who had lived in your house long before you, maybe she had died there, and was unwilling to leave her terrestrial home unwatched. So you never saw her again, right? Maybe she finally convinced herself that the house was in good hands and that it was about time to depart for good. This would only make sense if someone lived in the house before your family. In my case, we've been the only owners of our house, because before our neighborhood was built all this soil was a vineyard, so no inhabitants before us, and therefore no spirits.
And I'm not saying I believe it was a spirit from a departed lady. It's a just a mild theory based on creepy films

You're welcome totally, totally. Of course I don't mind you asking. I've already said I have nothing to hide
My relationship front! There's no such front I'm afraid, though I'm eagerly waiting. In fact I'm willing to hear offers, so I'm all ears (I have a very well formed idea of the kind of lady I want... the problem is that I haven't met her yet... and the other problem would be that if I do ever meet her I'd probably be rejected, and that would be something worth the title of "relationship front" or "battlefront", more likely )
Yet another drawback: whenever I lay my eyes on someone, she's already taken . At this pace, if I really want a wifey, I'm gonna be forced to build one of my own and keep her in a safe place

Uh, huh! So you want your kicks to have an impact, uh? Now I see why that "Blitzkrieg Bop" user title you have... ever thought about applying for a career in the army? They grant kicking licenses there! ... and they kick in very special occasions... like when they make up a war

So Lady Whistledown is mildly likely to disclose my secrets, uh? Well, at least pay me my copyrights

I've been peeping the photo album thread and saw your prom pics. A few posts below there's a post of mine. Take a look, okay?
And take a look at this game if you have time. I'd really like to know your opinion about my posts: http://www.online-literature.com/for...ad.php?t=45012
  9. Haha, yes, there is a rather considerable gap between the two of us.

I must say, a few names do ring a bell, a few don't, but I'm not too familiar with the music. Perhaps in my spare time, I'll have a gander at some of them.

I imagine it was round about... 5 years ago now. I was struggling to get to sleep, and after much tossing and turning, I sat up, hot and uncomfortable. I noticed a small figure at the bottom of my bed, and upon further inspection, discovered it was what appeared to be a frail old lady sat down. It was an almost grey, white hue; it was still and calm, and staring at me with big eyes, like it knew something that I didn't. It's difficult to say if it looked wise or menacing... or both. I was obviously very scared, and ducked underneath my covers.
After talking myself round, I came back up and decided I was imagining things. Looking again, it was still there. Back underneath the covers I went.
What I did next was extremely bizzare... don't ask me why I did this because I have no idea. Despite being frightened, I was overcome by a mixture of curiosity and a feeling of trust with this thing that had been watching me. I climbed slowly, closer and closer towards it; it didn't move at all - it just continued to gaze.
Feeling quite calm about the whole situation, I went to sleep and by the morning, it was gone.

Hahaha, why thank you... you are too kind.
And, if you don't mind me asking, how are you doing on the whole relationship front?

Oh, I only kick on very very special occasions; my kicks have more impact this way.

Ah, it seems I did miss something out! Well, "LadyW" or "Lady Whistledown" is actually a pseudonym for a character in a series of books I was reading a few years ago. In the series she writes a hilarious and insightful gossip column every week concerning the upper-class citizens of her town - she knows everything about everyone. I just found the whole idea quite charming and witty... And it seems that somehow, even when I'd much rather not, I get to find out alot of things/secrets about the people that surround me (obviously, I don't publish them to the whole of Manchester though! )
  10. Am glad I made you laugh. Really (I laugh a lot with your comments too. Pity we don't live on the same side of the Atlantic; that way we would laugh a ton more )

Wow, you've been using your ears since you have them. That looks like a list for the music supermarket. Wait a sec, I'm going to pick a trolley!

What other kinds of heavy metal am I into? Mostly I'm a traditional headbanger. I like what was done by folks of the late nineteen-eighties. I'm seeing Metallica on your list; they're on mine too, as well as Testament, Megadeth, a bit of W.A.S.P., another bit of Poison, some Skid Row and Ratt too, and I like instrumentations like those of Steve Vai and Ingwie Malmsteen. Actually my favorite electric guitarists come from metal backgrounds, like Zakk Wylde (he plays with Ozzy more than often) and Chris DeGarmo (formerly Queensryche and now a charter pilot or so I've heard - quite a job change, uh?) and another fave would be Marty Friedman (ex Megadeth). And I shouldn't forget some classic songs by Europe and Scorpions like Carrie and I'm still loving you, respectively (oh yes, I'm a very romantic chap indeed )

Any of these names ring a bell? I don't know most of the people on your list but thank you for taking the time. I will consider it, really... hey, wait... I found a trolley here, now I can go pick them at the shop

If you say you've seen a ghost then you must have seen it, or at least that's how you felt it. The point is that you saw something, whether or not it was imaginary is another matter. Have you seen it again, or only once? Was it long ago? Anyhow I believe you. You seem sincere, so I'll take your word for it.

So you believe that people are good by nature; as a scientist would say "Interesting concept" . That mankind-machine-alien theory of yours makes much sense though. It could happen that way I'm afraid But I would prefer if all three species could learn to coexist, learn from each other and give each other a chance in life. Now... on second thought... a good sci-fi previous blood shed could be quite exciting

How is it possible that this cute intelligent lady hasn't yet met a significant other? What's the problem with Manchester chaps? Can't they see what they're missing? ... Well, you're still very young, don't worry, the appropriate individual shall knock on your door anytime, but don't choose without careful analysis, so you don't have to regret after.

I walk a lot too, and sprint every so often. Wow, wait, we have a kicker here! How often do you make people respect you by leg-law enforcement?

Your outburst makes sense! To be pregant or not to be, that is the question!

By the way, you didn't tell me what the W stands for... because you don't want or you just skipped it? ... Oh, Please! Please! Do tell me, please! (Curiosity is killing me )
