  1. Testing
  2. Your photos are coming in fine.
You can resize under the "edit" tool, but remember to click "replace original" button.
I did not make it to Heidelberg, but I visited many other locations in Germany. I will see what I can dig up photo wise.
I see Heidelberg castle in the background. According to Sir Banister Fletcher the castle construction period spanned from 1508 to 1612.
Do you recall any details regarding the fountain such as the figure standing atop the fountain? It appears to be a Saint or other religious icon.

When I was at the Brandenburger Tor, I recall wooden steps that led to a platform allowing one to peer over the wall. Based on current images, I can see that things have changed drastically.

  3. Sorry this came out larger than I anticipated, I did try reducing it but it didn't happen. In connection with our recent discussion on Berlin I thought I would dig out some old photos. It was taken, as you can see, before the wall came down and just before I went over into East Berlin. I have a similar photo taken from the other side of the wall. It's all so very different now.

  4. Hi Gilliatt,

Just trying out some trimming now that I have been able to get back into Photobucket. This is a picture taken some years ago when I was in Heidelberg. Now that's a city that does have some wonderful architecture.
  5. I'm glad it worked!
    She is adorable!
The picture is large, which may have been your intent.
However, in case you weren't aware, you can adjust the size of the images as well under the "edit" / "resize" tools, but again, I am speaking from a Photobucket point of view.
Hopefully, you can get your account re established.

By the way, check out the architecture thread.

    Gilliatt
I am still learning the process myself

  6. Hi Gilliatt,

As you can see, your info worked. It seems that it isn't necessary to use the LitNet picture logo but just paste it anywhere and the URL will transform into a picture. However, Photobucket is refusing to accept my password, even though I have it written down. So I have asked them twice to allow me set up a new one but so far without success.I have just written to ask them why.

The picture by the way is of a friend's little girl that I took a few years ago. It was the only one I had in the photobucket album and was selected at random when I was trying to use Photobucket.

    Brian
  7. That is essentially correct.
I simply drag my cursor over the photo of choice which will cause a window to drop down that includes various options for sharing photos. Select the the option with the [ IMG ] code, right click to copy and then paste where you like.
  8. Thanks Gilliatt,
Perhaps you could explain the procedure although it seems pretty straightforward to me.
Photobucket takes the photo and allows you to select a URL which is then tranferred to the required LitNet box via the Insert Image instruction logo. Then the Post Message bar is activated and the whole message (if any) including the picture, is reproduced.
Anyhow that is what I have been doing but, as you can see, without success except for the small red cross in a white square which refuses to open the picture.
  9. By the way, if you choose to use Photobucket, I'd be happy to help if you need it.
  10. Brian,

I was out of town on business again.
Your message came in loud and clear at my end.

To answer your question; I am not able to see your picture. It shows up as an X in a whitre box.
I am not familiar with Vista.
Niamh directed me to Photobucket last year and have been using it since.
