  1. Hmm... I've never been punched in the face... I wonder how it feels to be punched by an asleep LadyW! Would it hurt? Would I receive it well?

I'm really satisfied with my poem's plot. It deals with self-sacrifice, love, and redemption. It's about a person who lived a dirty life, but when the time came, this person changed and paid the highest price. My problem is how to put the story in words that really reflect the way this person would feel in the final moments, after the sacrifice has been made. Anyhow I won't lose hope. I think I'll come up with something that can help me give the story the intended meaning. Maybe I just need a little patience. It's been said that inspiration is a visit that comes and goes at its own will, so probably what I have to do is sit here and wait until it knocks on my door.

You already made up your mind on what you will study at college? What will it be?

PS: Que duermas bien = "Sleep tight"
  2. Oh, you admire me... hmm... it's so good to have a fan on the other side of the Atlantic. I never thought I could even get one... here... and now I have one in the UK! IT'S SO GOOD TO HAVE A FAN!

I have an interest in French too (Oh dear language of love, giving even to bitterness a sweet scent of charm ). Are you aware of the French Tutorial?: http://www.frenchtutorial.com/
I've read it's very good, though I haven't had the time to try it myself. It's supposed to be very famous and useful. The Personal Edition can be downloaded for free.
  3. Haha, well I do admire you... I admire anyone who has learnt another language so fully.

I'm determined to become fluent in French, eventually. I've only ever had school lessons, and in all fairness, it's not enough. However, I have a whole summer free to study it, and I've opted to do it at college in September.

Haha Thank you for my little list. I especially like the last one!

Funny you should mention that because I've done something similar myself. I was on a coach trip to Belgium with school a couple of years ago. I'd fallen asleep, and I was sat next to my good friend Lee. I came round and I'd completely forgotten where I was, or who this guy was sat next to me; I panicked a little. So I punched him in the face.

It wasn't well received at first... but we laugh about it now.

Well if I had to pick my favourite time, I'd say either the summer or the period in between summer and autumn - that's always nice.

Hmm... do you think you'll ever get to a point where you know it's finished? Or do you think you'll always feel that way about it, regardless of how good it actually is?

Yeah, I finished High School () this June, and I'm free until September when I start college.
But I'm guilty of not having written anything for a while... summer is the time for things to happen you see, to give me something to write about I might make some notes/jot down some thoughts along the way.
  4. Sure thing, you supply me all you can. You see, I'm always trying to enlarge my English. That's why whenever I join a forum, it's an English one, and it's become a very didactic experience. I'm learning a lot Well, after all the best way to learn a language is by using it all the time

    Some dished-out Spanish:

Dejé la leche en la hornalla = "I left the milk on the hotplate"
Dama doble tú = "Lady double you"
    Dama doble ú = "Lady W"
He visto un fantasma, y me llaman loca = "I've seen a ghost, and they call me insane"

Hey, my dad does the same! He talks, moans, complains... and all while sleeping
He even delivers some elbow punches in my mom's direction, so she has to be on guard all the time

Hmm... you are a heat-lover I take... We've had a similar summer recently finished. It lasted more than usual though and now we are in autumn, though a rather chilly autumn. Anyhow I prefer intermediate seasons, not too hot, not too cold. Extremes bother me a little I must say

I'm still trying to finish that poem I told you about, but somehow it doesn't quite satisfy me
Are you writing anything at the moment? And you are on vacation from school, right?
  5. That's quite alright
I'll be more than happy to supply you with more at your own request.
Any cool Spanish phrases you'd be willing to dish out?

Haha, I watch Come Dine With Me mainly for amusement, although it does have some useful tips I must say.

I'm not a sleepwalker, no. But I am renowned for talking in my sleep!

How are you doing? Anything new going on at the moment?
I've been so happy recently because the weather has been fantastic; it's so hot
A few days it's been slightly humid... but I don't care, I just love the heat.
  6. Thank you, sweet

jump on the bandwagon... strange as it may seem I hadn't come across that expression before... so thank you very much, now my vocabulary is in debt with you

See? our lists match for the most part So you watch Come Dine With Me only for amusement or you're really learning something about the art of cooking?

By now it's Wednesday 6:07 in the UK and you must be royally asleep ... unless you are a sleepwalker... are you?

    Anyhow, sweet dreams cutie!
  7. Ah, I see; glad to hear it's sorted.

I'm not normally one to jump on the bandwagon, but yes, Twilight is very good indeed. I would highly recommend it.

Haha, I am quite a big Tarantino fan you see... and a bit of bloodshed thrown in there livens things up a bit too.

Likewise, I don't really watch a great deal of T.V... not necessarily because I don't have time; it doesn't interest me that much. Here's a jumbled list of programmes I do watch now and again though:
    24 (Very behind with it)
Come Dine With Me (It's a televised cookery competition... I have no life, haha)
    Friends
Nevermind the Buzzcocks (A music quiz panel show. Extremely funny.)
Prison Break (Like you, I'm yet to start Season 3)
    Scrubs
    Skins
    The Inbetweeners

    Actors & Actresses:
    Adam Sandler
    Adrian Brody
    Gaspard Ulliel
    James McAvoy
    Jim Carey
    Johnny Depp
    Leonardo DiCaprio
    Liam Neeson
    Michael Sera
    Tom Hanks

    Drew Barrymore
    Kate Winslet
Marylin Monroe (It's such an obvious one but... couldn't help myself.)
    Sienna Miller
    Uma Thurman

It's a short list. But I am rather sleepy now, so I have an excuse.
  8. Hey I'm finally back and the milk is now safe (NB: safe milk is euphemism for urgent matter already solved ). Now to reply to that message...

I'm very glad I was clear and I am likewise glad that you are beginning to obey me

I've seen most of the pieces on your list, except for a few, like Twilight. I've heard a lot about it but haven't seen it yet. Would you recommend it?
Wow, you liked the Kill Bill bloodshed... that's the spirit!... I love to see seas of blood and amputated limbs spread all over the room (only in fiction, of course )

My TV taste is both wide and very specific, in the sense that I don't have much time for TV, so I try to make every minute count, so to speak: Battlestar Galactica, Firefly (it lasted too short), Bionic Woman (too short for my taste too), Tarzan (the 2003 series; too short as well, and I'm beginning to be the paladin of lost causes ), Lost (it's lasting as much as I like it to last, fortunately ), Prison Break (am rather behind on it; am about to get myself on season three), 24 (I have to update myself on this one), ALIAS (I fell in love with Jennifer Garner back then, but she's unreachable as often in my bad luck ) and a lot more that will come to my mind any time and a lot more that I have to dive into, some day when I have more time, like Dexter and Criminal Minds.

My people in the show business, in no special order, on either TV shows and/or Films: Cate Blanchett, Nicole Kidman, Robert DeNiro, Al Pacino, Jennifer Garner, Sarah Wayne Callies, Katee Sackhoff, Jodie Foster, Lena Headey, Gerard Butler, Clive Owen, Johnny Depp, Christian Bale, Morgan Freeman, Michelle Ryan, Kate Winslet, Saffron Burrows, Kieffer Sutherland, Dennis Haysbert, Matthew Fox, Evangeline Lilly, Val Kilmer, Rachel Weisz, Jude Law, Tom Hanks, Colin Farrell, Brendan Gleason, Daniel Day-Lewis, Madeleine Stowe... Wow!... the list will never end!... I just wrote down a few names... sorry if I made any typo (there are many Brits on my list, have you noticed? )

Now tell me about your favourite Thespians.
  9. Mine either... I will answer that message... as soon as I rescue the darn milk...
  10. I did miss you, haha.
    My day just wasn't complete.
