  1. Hi Virg. Yes, the music appreciation group seems like a nice lot to hang out with. That looks like a great line up for the NY Phil. concert. not only one of the fabulous Brandenburg concerti, but some wonderful Mozart and Schumann too. Never having been to New York, I've also never heard the NY Phil. One of those many things on my must do list.
  2. I see you joined the music social group. I go to about three or four NY Philharmonic concerts per season. My next one includes Bach's Brandenburg Concerto No. 1. Actually here: http://nyphil.org/attend/season/inde...15&seasonNum=8.
  3. The new avatar is until halloween.
  4. I'm generally more in the "just not much impressed" category as opposed to the "loath and detest category," but no, I've never been able to muster a great deal of enthusiasm for Plath. Just doesn't get to me most of the time, and sometimes (as I think I brought out in the discussion of "Daddy") I find her a bit annoying/clueless.

P.S. I dig the new avatar!
  5. So you don't care for Sylvia Plath.
  6. Check out the blog on sonnets by Red Headed, Petrarch. And his previous blog was good as well.
  7. Aha! I hadn't fully figured that out yet. Thanks for cluing me in, Virg. I'll have to go check out the Poetry Bookclub thread. I know next to nothing about Roethke, but have been impressed with what I've come across by him. Thanks for the invite to the music appreciation group too. I'll take a peek at what you guys are up to.
  8. By the way Petrarch, the way these profile pages work is that one person comments on your page and you respond on their page. This way they get a message that some has posted on their profile page. And if you click the "view conversation" button on the lower right of each box, you will get the entire conversation between you and that person. A lot of people don't realize this. If you respond in your own profile page, it may take days or weeks for that person to return and see it. Now on another subject Petrarch, there is an interesting discussion on the Poetry Bookclub 2 thread that you may be interested. We are doing Theodore Roethke. And something else now that I think of it. Check out our music appreciation social group. It may interest you.
  9. Petrarch, no one can comment in your blog. There is a default setting you need to change to allow comments. Unless of course you don't want comments.
  10. Very nice Petrarch. And thanks for the comment. Yes, mine is very Da Vinci.
