That has happened to me often. I am such a freak now and save everything all the time. I have my novel saved on 3 different USB's and if it is something very important to me, then I save everything after each paragraph/stanza... I speak from experience, when I say it is better to be safe than sorry. Don't worry about your French. I use it often... Just not on litnet. Don't know what the protocol is and don't want to get banned or barred or whatever.
