  1. That is so terrible!

I bet you often feel pains due to that bad surgery, don't you? There was a case here a few years ago. This lady went to what should have been a minor surgery, and they misplaced most of her organs. It turned out really bad for her. She went through other reconstructive surgeries where different doctors tried to repair her inner damages, but I seem to remember they couldn't do much for her, as the damages were too severe. The first surgeons had ruined almost everything inside her. She finally died I think. It was such a tragic case.

Did you ever demand the doctors involved? It's a type of bad medical praxis, isn't it?
  2. I had surgery in 2004, had my abdomen opened up and they put the wrong kind of stitches in; it took 2 years to close. When I start exercising, I occasionally still have a small area open up. It's an odd thing; my husband had 10 or 15 major surgeries in his lifetime and they all closed beautifully. So, I just don't go to doctors if I can help it; except for blood tests, medication and well visits. I am sorry you haven't found work; it can be so upsetting. I often see adds; but they are suspicious when you give them a second look. I haven't worked much this month; I hope to do alittle more in June...hopefully the weather won't be too bad. I hate it when it floods on my way home from work. Take care, let me know if you put up any more art. G
  3. I'm glad you have pleasant, cool things to keep you occupied and are feeling well. When I was at the VA last, there does seem to be a less severe outbreak of the flu out; not nearly as bad as the one I caught in January. There had been claims that there was a limited amount of the vaccine available at the time; in the circles I seem to be in it was always available...but I'm allergic. Truly, as bad as this sounds, I don't really trust medical people coming at me with hypodermics and lighted tubing.
  4. Yes, it's better to keep indoors. Heavy heat is really bad for health, at least for mine. I often feel extremely weak under high temperatures. I just can't cope with summer. Fortunately we are having a somewhat cooler autumn this year, cooler than the previous one. I keep looking for a job, and in the meantime I'm working on some pictures. I may post some maybe artistic ones when I'm done. I'll let you know Still working as a nurse, right? What's the situation with the swine flu vaccine up there? Here only people at high risk are being vaccinated, like pregnant women and babies, so I can't get to be vaccinated yet. I hope the flu won't hit us before the rest of the population can get a chance for a shot.
  5. Glad you're okay; I'm feeling drab today...it's really hot so I'm doing indoor activities and my laundry is piling up. What have you been doing?
  6. Hi G!

I'm okay, all in all. How are you? Thanks for stopping by
  7. Hi, Max, I was thinking of you and wondering how all is.
  8. My back has improved, fortunately, thanks to that exercise called "the plank", which is basically for the abs, but also seems beneficial for the lower back when done properly, or so it seems I wish my mum could do it. She has problems with a bit of overweight and with her back too, but I think she couldn't do the plank. Her arthrosis has decreased her ability to go to the floor and pick herself up again. Thanks for every tip. You take care too. Tell Jess I said hello
  9. Thank you, Max. Yes, definitely find out if things have changed in your country. I've kept an eye out for you; but I didn't realize how many of those job offers are faulty. Alot of folks in our country are opening up ALF; living facilities for older folks who can't manage on their own and have no family. It is particularly popular for children your age who are already taking are of their own parents. I used to dream of opening one up myself; but it is a great deal of responsibility. Keep smiling, my dear and take care. How is the back?
  10. Oh no, it wasn't you, it was me. I misinterpreted your comment, based on how things work here. You see, contrary to your country, the government here often considers (at least in most cases I'm aware of) that if you live with your family then your economy is attached to that of theirs. However, I should find out again. Probably something has changed that I'm unaware of, but it is how it used to be until recently, in most cases.

    I wish you a Happy Mother's Day
