  1. eh, I don't think so...I've never written anything that rhymes in my whole life

Would you care to try this sometime?
  3. ahh you have a big family! How do you manage? It took a lot of compassion and love to take them all in, you're an angel. I couldn't have more than 3. I never even knew I was going to get Apricot, he just appeared on my deck one night. He had a couple of bebes inside him, he was apparently shot at. I loved this cat dearly, though I also love the others, I had them since they were kittens. Tiger is like Tips, he's mean and lean and wants to be the only cat. I thought I was going to lose Tiger in December, he was wasting away, then the new meds worked, he got better, and little did I know I was going to lose one, and it was Apricot, a month later. Since then Tiger being the only cat he always wanted to be, he is thriving and gaining weight and is looking really good. Because of Tiger I wouldn't get another cat unless one comes to me like Apricot...
  4. Part II: Oh, we also have Puck, our old, fat, black cat, and Chet, the cat from next door. His owners moved away and said they took him, but three days later he showed up on our doorstep, so he's ours now.

The main problem is Tips, who's mean. He needs to be an only cat, but who would take him? He bites and is very mean to Tom and Topher (they are scaredy cats ). But looking for a new home makes me nervous. I want to find a good home, maybe open adoption. And how do you know? I'm not asking for much, am I?
  5. I love his name, Apricot. Yes, Haunted, I have cats now. Like you we acquired a stray cat a few years ago. The cat next door found her, actually, a little Blue Russian kitten, about six month old. She wouldn't let us get next to her. I put food out, but it took about two months before she would let me get close to her. In early March I put some food in a cat carrier and was then able to bring her inside.

After being well-fed for a couple of weeks she got noticeably fatter, and I began to suspect she was going to have kittens. Which she did, in early April. And we still have them all. The mother is Lucy, then there are Smokey, Tom, Topher, Tips (who looks Siamese), Phoebe (the only girl), and Moses. Moses was the runt. He was half the size of the others and had no hair. I hand fed him for 24 hours, then he figured out how to latch onto his mother. We still feel very proud for having saved their lives. Other than a little too much cat hair and flea products ($$$), everything is OK.
  6. I'm sorry for your loss...they're so precious. I had 3 at one time. They're all tabbys — a gray and two orange. Two were brother and sister and I found them in a parking lot, they were just 8 weeks old. Apricot came a few years ago, he was a stray so I don't know how old he was. He must have come from a loving home, because he was very sweet and loving himself. Do you have any pets now?
  7. Yes, I did say that. I got Sukey when she was six weeks old. She was a gray tabby. I think tabby's are noted for their sweet natures. And she was sweet.
  8. We bonded almost immediately, he was the sweetest and friendliest cat I've ever met.
Did I imagine it or did you said you lost your 20 yr old cat last winter?
  9. Fast or slow, it's hard to lose 'em! And from the looks of him, he was a cutie.
  10. he was getting old...but it was so fast...he was in kitty hospital for a week, couldn't pee. He came home for a day and the next day he was gone. Heartbreaking. He was my heart and soul.
