Five years... Now that just has to be an addiction.
Still here, the girl said she will come on in 15 mins. So might stick around until then.
Hey Jer, have to run, the daughter wants to use the computer. Look out for her, Heathcliff, she usually comes onto litnet after I get off. Ciao. Have fun.
You're a darling
That's great. I'll have a look at it.
Hey Jer, you ok, I noticed you got a little fired up in the copyright thread.
You're not wrong. This thing is going to cost us $1,250.00 The school puts in $250.00 and we were told if we pay for it outright. We can get half of it back from the Tax Man, at the end of the financial year. Whoopee Doo. What about those poor parents who can't pay for it outright. Stupid system... Sorry, didn't mean to whine.
Lucky you. Actually I have been informed that I have to buy my son a laptop, through the school. Before he starts high school this year. Typical. The school wants all the new year 7's to have laptops, but they don't want to provide them. Mind you I am quite relieved as he is allowed to bring it home. So we will have two computers as from the 2nd of Feb. But for now it's a tug of war.
What is it about this place that keeps drawing us towards it. Don't know if I mentioned it or not, but both my children are on the site as well. Heathcliff is my 13yr old daughter and Snape is my 11yr old son. They're not as hooked as I am, but close to it. We have to fight over who gets the computer first. Or who gets to stay on longer. It's an ongoing war.
Love it. But have an issue... Can't get it out of my mind, no matter what. If I am cleaning house, I'm thinking of what I will do next on litnet, if I am with friends, all I do is talk about litnet and if I am out, socialising. Then I look at the watch every 5 mins. Thinking, "Why am I here." It is a real issue at the moment. I must say it is worse than a drug addiction.
