Hi G! Sorry I skipped your previous messages. It happened unwittingly I will get back in a few hours with a reply. Promise
Hey Max, how are you doing?
The vets from my husbands time were often frightening fellows; because that was when the government started letting prisoners join the service and started using drugs heavily. NOw, they are not giving drugs for pain; but they use them to enhance preformance. I used to visit some of his friends at the hospital and they were always happy to see me; but it always brings back the pain. It's odd, Max, people say the pain of loss goes away; but not all types of pain do. I'm glad you were able to get your vaccine. Have you seen many sick people. Jessica and I were watching a movie last night and she laughed so hard she aspirated some water; she started losing her stomach and feels very bad today. Of course, she has been working so hard for school. How is the job search going? Take care, Love and Kisses, Gail
Hi Max, I'm not with any veterans organization; I get medical care, a pension and education because the government feels that my husbands military service caused his illness and eventual death. When he was alive, he had been with many of the organizations, and later he spent alot of time at the treatment programs. It used to be funny to see the old world war 2 vets at the meetings, they were a different sort because they really believed in the good of their war experiences. They would come to the dinners, missing limbs, in a wheelchair; but often with a young beautiful wife driving a very expensive car
Hope you two had a good weekend too. I finally got vaccinated this Sunday morning, so I feel more relieved now. What a pity you can't get vaccines. I'm glad Jess is feeling better. What organization are you involved with? Does it have to do with VA? Kisses to both of you. Take care
Thank you, dear Max. I am glad you are staying well. No, Jessica and I are both allergic to the base that the vaccines are grown in. I have had a few vaccines in my life and become terribly ill from them. Jess is feeling better; back to 5 or 6 hours a day of homework. She is also joining my organization as a volunteer; she is hoping it will help later with job placement. I know very few people whom I would feel comfortable with giving a reference. People move around so much in Florida; Half of the doctors and people I worked with last year have moved on...Have a great weekend, G
Your hubby's case is an awful tragedy. I can't imagine how much he suffered. These people always get away with whatever they do with full impunity. It's disgusting. Fortunately, I don't have the flu yet. Last year I got vaccinated and I didn't get it either. Apparently the government is now extending the population range that will be vaccinated, so I may have a chance to get one shot for myself. My parents are retired, so they got vaccinated like a month ago, since they belong to the group of people considered at higher risk. Now it should be the turn for strong young fellows like me Was your daughter vaccinated? I guess that when you are vaccinated you run less risks, but they are always present anyways. I hope she gets better soon. Chicken soup, yummy Hugs to both of you, too
Like, in my husbands case, he was 19 whenhe went into the service. He had a genetic weakness which should have been obvious during his exam. After the toxins and injections he was exposed to; he began to grow tumors everywhere. The government gave him a medical discharge, tried to correct what they could, gave him money and medical care the rest of his life and also to his family; but all of this does not return a life or make up for his suffering. I have poured over the last 2 years of his notes to try and make a case; but there is really nothing there...the medical community sticks together like politicians do. I have an appointment next week and I will see about having the area treated again. How are you feeling. Did you get the flu? It is really awful. My daughter is feeling bad again; I will be so mad if we get it again after being out of work so long at teh beginning of the year. I wish I could send you chicken soup...wait, I dont even know if i make chicken soup... Hugs....G
That's so disgusting. It sounds like they can always get away with it no matter what. How unfair. It sounds so dirty. I guess that's how life works. The strong over the weak.
Thank you, Max. The doctors botched up by cutting on a sideways line and then using the wrong stitching; of course that wasn't found until the thing opened up and started pushing out the old stictches. It is really difficult to get a malpractice suit going nowadays because they teach medical professionals to put down very little on the notes that will be seen. Of course, if there is anything unusual, we are supposed to keep it in personal notes. It is further compllicated because as a military wife; I am rather at the mercy of the government, they wil fix their mistakes and if I get sick from them, they will give me money; but it is not like a big suit.
