Sukey had to have been special. Our first cat Whisper when Ruth and I first married dies fairly young and she is still missed almost 20 years later--was the only that would ride my shoulders and stay put--perfectly trusting that I would not drop her.
My wife cracked up at the Cat Lucy name as Amy's sister is also named Lucy. These two should be renamed Heckle and Jeckle the BATTLING Magpies as they live in the same house (that arrangement is mercifully coming to an end) but there is so much tension they communicate by e-mail--then get mad if THAT isn't answered. I love drama.
Popularity is relative. In my own life I have never been that popular and I have mostly been concerned by WHO esteems rather then how many.
The rain settled down but to my horror Snapjaws does't work. The cable that moves the little switch when you pull the cord came off. I haven't a clue when that happened as I finished the lawn about 3 weeks ago and shoved it in the garage and forgot about it. Now I have to find somebody to help me out. One phonecall hs not been returned but I have a plan B. As to the kitten--was supposed to get him/her Tuesday but put off until Friday --almost weaned it seems. Yes I am much a cat person. Probably has to do with an early love for Felix the Cat.
So, did it rain? The Lawnmower of Doom reminds me of an ad I saw on Leno: "Lawnmower for sale. Works, but does not start." And a kitten! You are so lucky. Nothing brings more pure pleasure to a house than a kitten. And there is not a living creature that is more adorable. They remind me of cotton balls on springs. Have fun!
Always good to see your avatar on my screen. Finlly getting 2 daus off in row and I'll be doing battle with the Lawnmower of Doom if the rain holds off tomorrow. Plus getting a kitten tomorrow from a friend of the Long Suffering Wife.
