  1. Speaking of that sounding like it came from one of your poems, I just wrote a poem inspired by that phrase.

    He offered himself
    A human sacrifice of feeling
    “Love” he called it
    I could not call back
    Refusing his offer
    Of body
    And blood
    Innocence on a silver platter
    Tempting,
Like an apple from the tree
    That stands alone
In the center of the garden
    “You broke me
    I loved you
    Could you not love back?”
    I refused
    To cheapen the words

    Hope you like it.
  2. Well I was thinking about how you said that you have never gotten a love letter (which I found unacceptable, and was even considering writing the cornyest thing I could to you) and the question popped into my head.
"I refuse to cheapen the words" that sounded like it came out of one of your poems. That is very admireable.
Weird? Not at all. I think it is something that everyone should experiance but love will find you.
Sorry if that was a prying question.
  3. ... I dread this question.

I love my friends and my family, I even love complete strangers sometimes, when we make jokes in the line at the grocery store, or when I'm serving them at the restaurant.

I have never been in love, no. I've tried. I've dated. I end it when I realize I can't tell them that I love them. I refuse to cheapen the words.

    Do you think it's weird?
  4. Have you ever been in love, my dear friend?
  5. Yup, I sure did. You wrote some good stuff while I was gone.
  6. Welcome home, Kevin!!!! I'm glad you liked your presents!! LOL
  7. I'm back wispy.
Your birthday present made me laugh out loud. Thank you.
  8. You flatter me way too much. Yes its good that there are people like us that write. I knew that my best friend ben (skib) wrote a little, but I didnt realize how much or how well till I convinced him to get on here. As for you pretty lady, you should not be self conscious! You really are an amazing writer. I hope you saw my comment on the waif story because it is completely true.
Thanks for the happy birthday (ill be spending it driving unfortuneately).
But I have to bid you a farewell now for I am leaving.
Its been good getting to know you better though and Im sure we'll pick it up when I get back.
  9. P.S. Happy early birthday since we won't get to tell you Sunday!!!!!
  10. xD I'm glad you liked it!! There are so many layers to one book, huh? When you learn about the author, a million things unravel within the story. I dunno, I think literature is just... fascinating. You shouldn't be so shy about your stuff! It's good! Honestly? I just... I don't know many guys around our age who actually write at all, or are in the least bit interested in reading. So that you write, and do it well, is very impressive to me.

I was looking a different poetry forums, actually, and stumbled across this one because I'd visited it before for school stuff - weird! I wanted to find a place where I could post my poetry and short stories and get real feedback instead of: "Oh, that's nice!" Or "Wait, who's this about?" I'm very, very self-conscious about my writing, because it's such an important part of me. LitNet's helped me, already, in many ways. ^^
