Thanks for your thoughts Virgil! I'm not in Santa Barbara right now - I'm in New Jersey teaching this semester. Everyone I know is okay, the fires are on the opposite side of Santa Barbara from where they live. But the fires are quite a big deal - I can't imagine what it would be like to have your college dorm burn down (I'm sure you heard about how Westmont College was affected).
You still in Santa Barbara? I heard about the fires in the area today. Hope you and those you know are safe.
