thats an idea... hmm gotta check if that works. you're right, you have to run after her at times too... i'm just not used to the running after i guess!
Well, here's a trick. Open a book of poetry, anything in particular. Find a sentence in the middle of a poem and write it out. Now take that sentence structure and start replacing the nouns with nouns that fit some of your thoughts. Look at it and see if there is something in there that could become a poem. When the muse doesn't come on to you, you have to go and run after her. You need to develop word/poetry games to find things to inspire you. It doesn't always drop from the sky.

I know how you feel. I've been trying to come up with something for the Valentine's Day Poetry contest. I have a couple of thoughts but no way to start the poem. How come Prince doesn't come around often any more? Just a little here and there.
