Isn't it amazing how that guy gets under one's skin without him even trying.
True. I embrace them all.
ohhh, but there's other minorities besides African American. Now if you'll excuse me I have to go make some tacos for lunch.
You're right, you didn't. I just interpreted this from your post as coming from an African American point of view: "A coworker asked me if racist still exists and when I told him yes and started to tell him my stories he said it didn't count. Now why wouldn't my experiences count? If you've never experienced it you will never understand. I live in a place where it very much still exists, I've seen it as an outsider and I've seen it done to me." I guess it's not hard to interpret that as you being African American. I know you're not and it threw me for a second. I see what your saying.
No, there was no point where I suggested that. I would never thry to represent myself as something I am not.
I didn't think you did either, but there was a point it seemed to suggest that. Perhaps we disagree, but let's agree we both have the best interest of African-Americans at heart. We just disagree as to what is in their best interest. Wait a second, what else do we disagree on?
Well Virgie, one more thing we disagree on. I'm not African American and I don't think I implied anywhere that I was.
Are you African-American Papaya.? I didn't think so, but it seemed that's what you implied. Nonetheless i don't want you to think I support real racism. I don't have a racist bone in my body. I just think that the racial arguments have grown old and no longer apply.
If you go to Andave's latest blog she tells of our meeting up last week: http://www.online-literature.com/forums/blog.php?b=8486. You might be interested.
That's the bad part about writing, you can't gauge the tone of what is being said. I've been thinking of redecorating but i can't think of anything better. I'm still digging DaVinci, I have a biography that I have yet to read, and who hasn't tried to write backwards?
