After I learned about TURPs, I was very glad that I was born a girl.
Well, the computer may be good but probably the system that checks for mistakes is not covering the whole range of possibilities and should be thoroughly revised with the assistance of a medicine expert Other than that, this conversation helped me learn a new acronym: TURP (Transurethral resection of the prostate), which I will certainly use on the Funny Abbreviations Game The visitor board has limited character amount per each message, yes. When I want to talk in plenty I always resort to an instant message (aka chat) program, like Yahoo, or Windows Live Messenger. Actually, I have to use both because some of my friends prefer one while others prefer the other program. Both are good enough to me, as long as I have people to talk to
I guess I should have written a letter instead of posting on the visitor board. I had to cut this part of the letter because it was too long. Out of curiosity, since I was allowed to make up my own diagnosis and procedure codes, I decided to test how accurate the computer is in detecting mistakes. I gave a female patient benign prostate hyperplasia--and did a TURP on her. Her claim did get rejected--but only because her insurance had expired. I'm beginning to wonder how good this computer is.
Yeah, I believe in that saying by some great philospher, "Too much rest is a pain." There is always a point when I'm recovering where I want to do something totally unrestful--like clean my room. Sometimes I give in, other times I manage to ignore the impulse. Today I was busy filing insurance claims for my class. They aren't real, of course...but we are getting experience in using a clearinghouse. That is a middle man company that has a computer that checks your claims for errors. If the claims are clean, they send them to the insurance companies. If they have errors, they send them back telling you what is wrong. This saves time in filing because it can be done in seconds. By snail mail, it can take an insurance company thirty days to process your claim. If it has errors, it gets sent back. Then you have to correct it and write a resubmission report. Then it is another thirty days while it is processed.
Fortunately you remembered the method Now we are officially friends I'm still sick, but I logged in briefly in order to confirm the request and because I can't stay much in bed
I finally got here and remembered...but then I forgot how to make friends with people! I think I remembered and sent you a request.
