  1. you could do it on the Playboy riots in the abbey theatre in 1907. i did essays on that...
Oh god a kerry accent? even i cant understand that most of the time! poor you!
  2. He said (and I'm sure it was supposed to be an excuse...), he grew up in
"the most rural part of Kerry".

Sounds like a great night at the theatre! Let me know next month how you liked it!
Now that I come to think of it... : The Abbey would be an interesting topic for an essay...
  3. PMSL!!! i can only imagine! what part of ireland is he from?

It was out in the abbey last year and it got such great reviews they are bringing it back! woohoo! cause i didnt get to see it last year!
Its a new adaptation by Roddy Doyle
  4. Playboy of the Western World sounds great!! Are there any reviews out as yet?

These lazy Irish!! Last week he was talking about the "bodaydo crisis", and it took us quite some time to arrive at "potato"...
  5. Damn straight we have to go to the Abbey! Nightie and me are off to see the playboy of the western world there next month for my birthday. cant wait!
90% of irish people dont pronounce th. its more of a d than a t. he probably doesnt even realise...
  6. Yeah, you have to do a class on the history of one English speaking country; Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, Malta, Canada, the US, the UK and Ireland were on offer. The guy who does my Irish class is actually an Irishman, and he has the worst accent EVER! No "th", but "t" instead, and the funny "r"... He doesn't even bother to turn it off while talking to students just learning to speak English... I'm so glad you didn't speak that way!

Yepp, it would be so great if I could come to Trinity! A whole year in Dublin must be paradise . If I do get there, we'll have to go to the Abbey together at least once!!
  7. yeah, i am crazy but at least i can admit it!
Wow! you really are all set for it arent you? I hope they can come to some kind of agreement!
And a history of Ireland course? really? Did my country really impact you that much? wow. thats pretty cool!
yeah loads of people have been laid off since the pork thing and now they are looking into the beef too. bad times in my country as it is...
  8. How could you call ME crazy?! YOU used to dig around in graveyards, remember?
College is a great as ever! I've enquired at Trinity, but so far they haven't figured out yet whether they'll be able to accept me because the weird German degree system doesn't seem to agree with the Irish one... at the moment I'm still waiting for some Head of Department to check up on this point...
Oh, and I'm taking a class on the "History of Ireland" this year!! I'm thinking of writing my final essay about some topic related to Dublin .
How are things in town? I heard about that pork affair, but that's about all the news that get here
  9. Hey Stranger! Good to see you!!! How could i possibly forget the crazy german who gave me cookies after showing her around parts of Dublin!
Yes i'm still serving book hungry flyers! hows college? still thinking of studying in Trinity?
  10. Now there's a gorgeous looking fairy I remember!
Thank you so much for your message! I was quite surprised to find that I wasn't forgotten around here :-).

I hope you've been well all this time! Are you still supplying hungry airborne travellers with the books they need? :-)

Now I've got to try out all these new buttons and social groups and all, so much has changed around here! I feel a bit old, I must say :-).

    See you around *soon*! ;-)
    Love,
    Cookie
