  1. Thank you, Captain. Do you think Mrs. G would mind if you gave me a few dancing lessons for the New Years ball?
  2. Belated merry Christmas to my favorite governess and wishing you a happy new year!
    It is nice being home!
The Gurgle's are hosting the New Year's celebration this year.
    It will be quite unusual.

    Cheers,
    Gilliatt
  3. Well, I envy your cool nights. I sat out with the neighbors when it dropped down to the mid-80's, fans all going. I was certainly glad to come back into the house with the a/c at 60. Hopefully, the cool front is a sign of early fall weather; it seems to me that summer came awfully early this year.
  4. Sorry to have mislead you. It's not hot up here in Illinois. Today started out in the low 60's and the high was 80 ! Very nice day today.
Back home is another story, altough the missus says we had a cool front today and dropped the temp down to around 95.
She and my son are staring to get the sweaters out.
  5. A job where you get to fly out of state; sounds too good to be true. Really, it's that hot in Illinois; well, I guess I won't complain about the 90's down here where we have a breeze, even if it is a sticky one. I promised myself I'd go to the beach this year; but everytime I get motivated, they claim the water's toxic...so much for the clear water days with huge sea shells. I'll check you out on the Blokes. Good to hear from you.
  6. It has been too long!
I just posted on the Blokes thread.
Yes; it is hotter than "hell's half acre" in Texas, but...I'm not in Texas.
My company sent me to Rockford Illinois for a few months on a project. However, they fly me home every three weeks for a lond weekend. In fact I fly home this coming Friday.
The temps here have been in the upper 80's to low 90's...not too bad.

So you're pretty hot huh? hehe
  7. Hello, it's hot as heck here and just as humid; what's it like in your part of the world?
  8. Ah, to be 47 again, I sure would be showing my pretty face! I couldn't find the clip you were refering to. Oh yes, I wouldn't want to go through the 15 year old phase as a parent again; fortunately, it passes quickly.
  9. I forgot to answer your other question.
    My son is 15 now.
We're going to need all the help in the world now!
  10. Thanks for the kind words regarding my son.
No, no, no...that isn't me in the background. I had to laugh, becuase Brian Bean had asked if that fella was the Lone Ranger. I don't know the gentlemans name. He was the "trail boss" leading several of us along the trail he worked fo the horse livery company offering rides. I was the one actually taking the pictures.
One day I'll be brave enough to reveal Gilliatt. By the way, if you were alert and followed the greatest thread on earth, The Manufacture of a Texas Sonata, (there's a laugh) you would have seen me for a fleeting moment.

    Gilliatt
