Hi Virgil. I just want to thank you for being so supportive of my poetic efforts. You make me want to stay!
Thank you Virgil. That means a lot!!! I just went into your blog and it is mesmerizing. I would ask for a day to go through it all but, from what I've read so far... it's going to be a very exciting ride! Thanks for pointing me toward a happy discovery!
I must say Sophia, I'm really enjoying your poetry. I wish I had more time to write. My very first blog has links to several of my poems. This is the blog: http://www.online-literature.com/forums/blog.php?b=55. If and when you have some time, if you trace the links in the blog to a poem, you might be able to find some. Others are probably scattered here and there. I always welcome opinions, good or bad.
Not downtown, unfortunately no but I've heard Peregrines like nesting on the tall buildings. I think there are a lot of falconers in your state though. You could always keep a bird somewhere else but, they need daily exercise so that probably wouldn't work too well. Maybe if you move to the country some day.
If I knew how to go about it I think it would be something I would be interested in. They are beautiful animals. But I live in New York and I don't think it would work out.
Ah, I don't remember her mentioning she was there. Oh well, they are beautiful birds. Obviously well cared for and loved. Falconry is an amazing amazing thing!!
We were on Marth's Vineyard. My cousins had rented a house there for a week a couple of summers ago and we joined them for the weekend. It was part of their summer fair.
Wow Virgil, those are great!! Where was the show? My best friend (and mentor in falconry) is a biologist and she owns a teaching raptor centre. Sometimes they are invited to different fairs to exhibit birds and flying.
Sophia, I had the opportunity to take some pictures of raptors. I posted them on this page: http://www.online-literature.com/for...=20158&page=37. Thought you might be interested.
LOL. Yup, I'm still doing goofy things but with fine teachers like you, I'll be navigating through here like a pro in no time. Cheers!
