Hey AuntShecky! Hope you are enjoying this glorious fall!
Oh, and happy (belated!) birthday, too!
Thank you, sweet Q for inquiring. We're doing okay--it's just that with extra responsibilities, I don't have as much time as I used to for the LitNet. I try to read as many of the postings as I can, but sadly can't devote very much time to offer quality responses. Will try to catch up on them as soon as I can. Thanks again for your nice message. Auntie
Hi, AuntShecky!
I would consider that person knowledgeable, not arrogant, AuntShecky. It's all in the presentation, of course. You, for instance, always strike me as knowledgeable.
A question for you, O Wise Woman-- If a person has spent more than half a century reading, studying, and talking about Literature, as well as attempting to create some of his or her own, I know that doesn't automatically make him or her an "expert," but it doesn't make him or her "arrogant" --or does it?
Hey, I'd be willing to try to create one of those quizzes this summer, Aunty. It won't be nearly as good as yours, though.
A very happy Valentine's Day to you as well, dear Lady!

Your work is always interesting, q., both your poems and your comments. I still don't buy your Huck Finn assessment; if you haven't already read it, maybe some day you could check out Love and Death in the American Novel Bt Leslie Fiedler. I'm working on a literary essay inspired by Virgil's blog and your comment as well as others there. Hope to post it in "General Literature" sometime this week. Keep writin'! Auntie
