Without the observer the scene disappears, or at least it doesn't remain the same as when observed. There is also the fact of the sheer chance against our being where we are, and having had all the experiences we had. That means every moment is infinitely unique. I really believe that while life does exist as it appears to, yet there are other dimensions of existence which can be experienced, and also that the range of being of any one being is all life. Each of us is in each other, and all life, spreading through what is alive now to the past and the future, and all life is connected.
Yes there certainly is. I just can't help the feeling that there are other levels of existence. I've had experiences of this kind, and I have at different times been very sure of the logic of there being existences in relaiton to this one, like this one is in relation to dream, stories, or dramas. Life is physical it is true but consciousness is not necessarily phyiscal also. And also our thoughts may have an effect on our environment, down to the molecular level. There are many different points which indicate more to existence than what is "common sense." One is the fact that all life on earth is because of the sun, without whose warmth the earth would be lifeless. And coupled with the scientific fact that energy is matter, and matter is energy, it can be assumed that everything is light. All life forms come from the same source, and so consciousness can't be anything but light. And the forms we observe actually come from our consciousness.
saw the little piece about consciousness, thanks for sharing. That's some concept! I think the world exists on more than just a physical level but there is definitely a physical reality and not just something floating in our consciousness. What do you think?
Oh, thanks. I hadn't heard of that. Though I did see something pretty interesting a while ago, a video with a lot of different scientists and others, describing a new idea of the universe as being a holographic universe... this is the link to the video if you're interested. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eJb1pYvHtDQ
hey, just wanted to pop in to say hi and leave a little comment that I'm too lazy to write up a post for. What you said about the "source"... scientists/physicists are trying to prove it, they call it the Omega Point, I think
