Geographically I live almost in the middle of Helsinki, but when you look around, there are fields... Well, fields and the biology departments of Helsinki University, and they've been building more and more houses in this area for a while. This is a growing area, a bit less than 10 kilometres from the centre. You know, when one has homework to do, they should get something done on Sundays too... Otherwise Mondays will suck even more than they usually do I should change my signature too, it's been the same since I joined this site. Any ideas for a new one?
I have a similar problem where I live. It's a very busy neighborhood but it used to be more peaceful in the old days, not anymore sadly, so sleeping here is rather difficult too. Cars coming and going, people yelling and whatnot You live in an urban or suburban area? Well, it was Sunday after all, don't worry so much about mass production on Sundays. Sundays are like that.... to be doing almost nothing I helped my mom at the kitchen, with the spaghetti thing. I can't cook, but I'm a magnificent grater of cheese and carrots, and you should see me peeling potatoes The "muse of quotes" payed me a visit in the afternoon, so I may take one of her suggestions for a signature, since it's about time that I have one that truly identifies my very nature
I slept till four pm and it felt good Then I woke up when my neighbours were having a bit too much fun (the walls are really paper thin in this building...) and went for an hour's walk. After that I did the dishes and opened my computer and haven't even been able to do any of my homework... so not the most productive of days, I'd say But hey, it's just 8:30 pm, so the night is young. I'll have plenty of time for my homework... (if I just can make myself do it ) How has your day been?

Yippee Now that I don't have to be worried about your safety anymore I can perhaps shut down the computer and get some sleep I'm terribly tired after workin on a translation a bit too late last night and then going to work in the morning. But hey, at least I got to earn some money to pay for all the books I bought yesterday...

Don't make me watch American Idol, please... I don't want to listen to those... what are they, wannabes or real people? I'm sure you do much better than them, really I just have the feeling and I trust you I, on the other hand, can reach my toes with my legs straight, so I guess my legs work a little better than my fingers though I haven't tried to do some turns in the air and see if I can fall on my feet like a cat... I'd better refrain from even thinking of it, I may kill myself
Well, practising with the instrument is kind of a workout for one's hands, so in that sense you're not that off the mark I, for example, have rather flexible fingers (while other than my hands I'm not flexible at all - I can barely reach my toes with my legs straight ), thanks to playing the piano for so many years and trying to reach for the octaves when I was just a small girl with tiny hands Hey, you don't even know whether I can really sing at all, you've never heard me. Surely you know that world is full of people who think they're amazing singers while they're really just tune-deaf. You only have to watch one episode of American Idol or some other show like that to see that. (Or suffer through a couple of karaoke performances... *shudder*)
Oh, I've realized that guitar-playing demands a strong set of fingers,. I figure guitarists practice finger-weightlifting in order to achieve such a strength.... am I insane already? now seriously, I think I'll buy the harmonica and see what happens... later on I'll go exercise my fingers for the guitar SO WE HAVE ANOTHER SOPRANO IN FINLAND!!
